Savusavu · Vanua Levu · Private-pool villas

A small island, with room to disappear into your own world

Private-pool villas, hidden coves and meals taken care of make Savasi an inviting retreat in northern Fiji.

A short bridge links this leafy island to Vanua Levu, but the mood is wonderfully removed from everyday life. Come for a quiet couples escape, a honeymoon or time together with older children, with personal service and space to unwind.

Why stay at Savasi Island?

Let the landscape set the pace

Savasi’s villas are woven into a landscape of coastal rock formations, tropical gardens and small sandy coves. Some sit above the sea, others open to a sheltered garden or beach setting. Each has its own character and private pool.

Days can be as gentle or as active as you like: a swim before breakfast, a guided water activity, a little exploring, then a long dinner. It is a place for privacy and conversation, with a quieter atmosphere than a large family resort.

Accommodation

Find your own island hideaway

Choose a one-, two- or three-bedroom villa, or ask about the distinctive nautical accommodation aboard Serenity. Room layouts and outlooks differ, so we will confirm the precise choice, bedding and access for your party.

A different way to stay

Serenity: nautical accommodation in the marina

Serenity vessel permanently moored beside the marina at Savasi Island Resort

Serenity is a permanently moored vessel with three main-deck staterooms and two bridge-deck penthouses. It does not sail. Guests have access to the island and the resort’s dining and activities.

Each room accommodates up to two guests. Selected rooms have private decks; these are not pool villas. Ask about an individual room or a private buyout of all five rooms for a group, subject to availability.

Dining

Three meals a day, with something special in the setting

Breakfast, lunch and a three-course dinner are included in Savasi’s full-board arrangements. The Reef Dining Room is the central dining venue, with menus that bring together local ingredients and international flavours.

Bespoke private dining is included in the contracted arrangements, but particular locations and evenings cannot be guaranteed. The resort plans these experiences around conditions, occupancy and availability.

Bottled water, standard tea and coffee and a welcome evening cocktail per adult are included. Other beverages and alcohol, espresso coffee and in-room dining are additional unless your quote expressly includes them. Tell us about allergies or dietary requirements when booking.

Sea Spray Spa

Make time for a slower afternoon

Sea Spray Spa offers massages, facials, wraps and body treatments, with Pure Fiji products and an island setting.

Couple enjoying a spa treatment at Savasi Island Resort

A treatment makes an easy addition to a day spent between the pool, the beach and the gardens.

Spa treatments are charged separately unless included in a confirmed package. Speak with the resort team about the available treatments and suitable times during your stay.

Island experiences

Explore above and below the water

Snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding, including equipment and guiding under the contracted inclusions, bring the surrounding water into your holiday. Cultural demonstrations and evening entertainment add another dimension.

Off-island tours, diving and selected excursions are charged separately. Ask about Salt Lake kayaking, a waterfall visit or exploring Savusavu. Conditions, tides, guest numbers and availability influence which activities operate.

Couples and older families

A peaceful setting with important practical details

Savasi is not adults-only, but its quiet atmosphere is best suited to couples and families with children aged 10 and over. The current policy does not accommodate children under 5; we will check the applicable policy for your dates.

There is no kids club. Nanny or buddy services can be arranged at extra cost. Unfenced pools, open decks, rocks and stairs mean children need close supervision at all times.

For a honeymoon, anniversary or small group celebration, tell us what you have in mind. We will confirm any extras separately rather than assume a bonus or special event is included.

Getting there from New Zealand

A short road transfer, with no boat crossing

From New Zealand, fly to Nadi and continue on a domestic flight to Savusavu on Vanua Levu. Savasi is about 10 minutes from Savusavu Airport, with return ground transfers included in the contracted resort stay.

Although it is an island resort, Savasi is connected to the mainland by a private bridge. The arrival route is by road and does not require a boat transfer.

Labasa Airport is an alternative, with an approximately 90-minute road journey at an additional cost. We will check flight connections, domestic baggage allowances and whether a Nadi overnight is needed before confirming your itinerary.

Plan the details before you book

Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is 11am. Early check-in or late check-out is by arrangement and may attract an extra charge.

Access varies between villas, with uneven terrain, steps, bridges and open waterfront edges. Tell us about mobility needs before booking so we can confirm whether a specific villa and transfer will work for you.

Wi-Fi is available, though the remote location can mean an intermittent connection and limited streaming. Laundry, in-room dining and some other services are charged; card surcharges may also apply. Your quote will identify the booked inclusions and conditions.
