Space to slow down.
Time to enjoy Fiji.
If you are heading to Fiji for time together, it is worth choosing somewhere you will enjoy doing very little. A proper breakfast, a swim, a book and no urgent reason to leave your lounger can be a good plan.
Club InterContinental Fiji gives that sort of holiday a comfortable base. Set above Natadola Bay at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, it combines spacious suites with a dedicated lounge, an infinity pool and daily food and drink privileges.
For New Zealand travellers planning a winter escape, a celebration or a family holiday, the useful question is how those extras fit the trip you have in mind.
Start with the space you want

A one-bedroom Club suite offers 115m², including a separate lounge and dining area. Two-bedroom Club suites are 156m², with a king bedroom, a second bedroom with twin beds and two bathrooms.
That extra room can make a difference over several nights. There is somewhere to sit after an early bedtime and space to spread out without spending the whole stay in one bedroom.
Selected suites have a private plunge pool. It is an appealing extra for couples who want more privacy, but it needs to be part of the confirmed room category. For families, start with the sleeping arrangement and children’s ages, then decide whether a pool suits your plans.
Getting around from the hilltop

The beach, main pools and resort restaurants are below the Club accommodation. The resort provides an on-demand buggy service, and its digital-concierge guide lists requests through the in-room tablet. Ask your Club hosts how to arrange trips down and back during your stay.
Think about those journeys when choosing your accommodation, especially with young children, beach gear or mobility needs. Tell us about any access requirements before booking so we can check the suite and transport arrangements. It is worth weighing the hilltop setting against accommodation closer to the facilities you expect to use most.
How a day at Club can unfold
Morning
A leisurely breakfast
Breakfast is included, with a choice of the Club lounge, Sanasana’s buffet or Navo, where breakfast is adults-only.
2–4pm
Afternoon high tea
Later, high tea is served at the lounge from 2–4pm.
5–7pm
Cocktails & canapés
The evening lounge service brings cocktails and canapés from 5–7pm. It is a natural time to pause before dinner rather than squeeze another activity into the day.
Non-alcoholic lounge drinks are available through the day, and your suite’s non-alcoholic minibar is replenished daily.
You do not have to organise every day around the lounge. Leave room for a long beach visit or an outing, and choose the benefits you will genuinely enjoy. If you expect to be away from the resort most afternoons, ask whether the larger suite alone justifies the difference in price.
The family details worth knowing
Time together
Club InterContinental welcomes families, including children at breakfast and afternoon tea. The lounge becomes adults-only during the evening cocktails and canapés session; the resort currently offers families an alternative at Kama Lounge & Bar, subject to venue changes.
Children can use the Club pool with adult supervision. The main resort also has a Family Pool and a separate adults-only pool for guests aged 16 and over. Confirm the Club pool’s current hours when planning your day.
Planning some adult time
If you would prefer the adults-only Club lounge session, plan childcare separately: the evening Planet Trekkers session currently starts at 6.30pm, after cocktails begin at 5pm. Families can enjoy the alternative venue together.
For parents planning some time together, ask separately about childcare availability and charges. Club access should not be taken to include babysitting or kids’ club sessions.
Plan the journey from New Zealand around your holiday
Fly into Nadi, then take a private airport transfer to Natadola Bay on Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu. Allow roughly an hour for the drive; the resort quotes approximately 55 minutes. There is no onward boat crossing to coordinate.
Air New Zealand currently offers Nadi itineraries from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Ask us to check the options for your dates and departure point, including any domestic connection you need. Timetables and routes should be checked when you book.
For a shorter break, look at the first and last day as carefully as the room. Share your flight times so private transfers and check-in arrangements can be planned together. An extra night may be more useful to you than a higher room category if it gives you another full day to unwind.
If you need New Zealand school-holiday dates, send the whole travel window rather than just one preferred departure. That gives us room to compare suitable flight-and-suite combinations.
Build a clear holiday budget in New Zealand dollars
Ask for a total NZD quote showing the suite category, confirmed Club access, flights if required and private airport transfers. Then check how lunch and dinner will be handled.
Club privileges include specified meals, snacks and drinks; they are not an unlimited all-inclusive dining arrangement. A meal plan may be available with a particular offer, but its restaurant, menu and beverage conditions need to be confirmed separately.
For dinner at Navo with children, check the early family seating arrangements and book ahead.
If you are comparing quotes, use the same dates, travellers and room type. Check baggage, private airport transfers and meal inclusions too. A headline room price cannot tell you what the whole holiday will cost.
Questions before you book
Is Club a separate resort?
Club is a dedicated part of InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, with its own suites and guest facilities within the wider property.
Are Club suites on the beachfront?
They are in the hilltop Club area. If being steps from the beach matters more than lounge privileges, ask us to compare the resort’s beachfront accommodation.
Does booking Club include airport transfers?
Forever Fiji arranges private airport transfers; check your quote for the inclusions and cost. Club access alone does not confirm a transfer booking.
What should I wear in the Club lounge?
Pack smart-casual clothes and footwear for the lounge. Swimwear is permitted at the pool and poolside, rather than inside the lounge.
