Three wings, three different holiday styles
Accommodation looks towards the lagoon, reef or Pacific Ocean. Room size, bedding and guest capacity vary by category. Tell us every traveller’s age, preferred bedding and any access needs so we can confirm a suitable arrangement.
Ocean Wing
Ocean Deluxe, Ocean Terrace and Ocean Grand Deluxe rooms offer a choice of layouts facing the ocean and reef. King and twin options make this wing worth considering for families. Selected Ocean categories can interconnect, on request and subject to availability.
Yanuca Lagoon Wing
Close to the lagoon beach, main pool and Lagoon Terrace Restaurant, this wing is a convenient family base. Compare Yanuca Lagoon Deluxe, Terrace and Grand Deluxe rooms, or choose a Yanuca Lagoon Suite for separate living space.
Reef Wing
Reserved for guests aged 16 and over, the Reef Wing offers Reef Deluxe and Reef Grand Deluxe rooms, Reef Suites and Reef Bures. This quieter area has its own arrival experience and a pool reserved for Reef Wing guests.
Space for your family
Yanuca Lagoon Suites and selected Grand Deluxe rooms provide options for larger families within their confirmed occupancy. Ask about a Yanuca Lagoon Two-Bedroom Bure when separate bedrooms matter. Children’s ages count towards capacity, including infants, and extra-person charges may apply.
A bure beside the ocean
Reef Bures offer a one-bedroom retreat for two, with separate living and dining spaces. Yanuca Lagoon Bure configurations have different family capacities and benefits. We will confirm the exact category, layout and inclusions before you book.
Little discoveries, big holiday memories
The complimentary Little Chiefs Club welcomes children aged 4–11, with a changing programme of creative play, Fijian culture and outdoor activities.
Babysitting can be requested separately at an additional charge. Let us check arrangements for children under four and any particular care needs.
The lagoon’s inflatable water park is for guests aged seven and over. Access depends on operating conditions and safety requirements. Children need appropriate supervision around the pools, beach and water activities.
Children’s meals and bedding
Our standard contracted family arrangements include complimentary meals for up to two children aged 11 and under from designated children’s menus at participating restaurants, when accompanied by a fully paying adult. Additional children, different menus and meal-plan choices may incur charges.
Cots and children’s bedding must fit the confirmed room capacity. Some trundle beds are suitable only for children under six. We will check the precise bedding and charges rather than assuming that every room suits the same family size.
A quieter corner for time together
The Reef Wing gives couples a more secluded base within the wider resort.
Standard Reef Wing benefits include a dedicated check-in area, exclusive use of the Reef Pool and breakfast at Golden Cowrie.
Enjoy the daily hosted cocktail hour with selected drinks and canapés, complimentary golf green fees and a 30-minute extension when you purchase a qualifying 60-minute body massage. These are Reef Wing benefits, rather than inclusions for every room. Confirm treatment reservations, golf equipment charges and the current benefit arrangements with your quote.
A different setting for every appetite
Lagoon Terrace Restaurant provides a relaxed family dining option, while Beach Bar & Grill looks across the lagoon.
Takali Asian Kitchen adds Asian flavours beside the ocean, and Golden Cowrie Coastal Italian Restaurant serves Italian dishes in a more grown-up setting.
For an evening drink, explore Bilo Bar or Black Marlin Tropical Bar. Ask about the current Black Marlin Rum and Steak dining programme. Restaurant opening schedules, special events and age restrictions can change; Golden Cowrie dinner is for guests aged 12 and over, with adults-only breakfast arrangements.
Choose your meal arrangements
Our standard contracted stays include buffet breakfast for up to two adults and two children aged 11 and under, within the room’s occupancy. Half Board and Full Board can be included in selected packages or purchased as additions. Half Board provides a dinner allocation; Full Board provides a lunch and dinner allocation.
Dining allocations have limits and exclusions. Amounts spent above them, special festive menus and selected items cost extra. Unused meals or credits are not refundable or transferable. Do not assume room service or retail and ice-cream outlets are covered by your meal plan.
A beverage package is a separate inclusion or paid addition, with selected drinks, service hours and excluded venues. It is not automatically included with Half Board or Full Board. We will confirm the exact food and drink allowances, participating outlets, children’s terms and any supplements for your stay.

Standard contracted stays include Wi-Fi, the health club, tennis courts, pool facilities and use of selected non-motorised watersports equipment. Ask the team about the available equipment, session lengths, conditions and activity schedule.
The Marine Education Centre adds a chance to learn about the island’s surrounding habitats. Cultural and family activities offer more ways to connect with Fiji beyond the beach.
Golf, ocean adventures and the Coral Coast
Play the nine-hole golf course, try mini golf or hire a bicycle to explore the resort. Diving, fishing, jet-ski outings and other guided water adventures can be arranged through the resort’s activity providers.

A road transfer to your island escape
Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji is approximately 50 minutes by road from Nadi International Airport, depending on traffic and conditions. A causeway connects Yanuca Island to Viti Levu. We can arrange an airport transfer suited to your group, luggage and child-seat needs; it is included only when stated in your package.
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am. Guaranteed early check-in or late check-out requires arrangements and may attract an additional charge.
Payment and access
The resort operates cashless food, beverage, spa and recreation outlets. An incidental deposit or card pre-authorisation is required at check-in. The hold varies with your meal arrangement and length of stay, and your bank may take several working days to release it after departure. We will confirm the current requirement before travel.

Yes. The Ocean and Yanuca Lagoon wings welcome families, with room and suite choices, the Little Chiefs Club and family recreation. We will confirm capacity and bedding for your children’s ages. The Reef Wing is reserved for guests aged 16 and over.
The Little Chiefs Club programme is for ages 4–11. The inflatable water park is for guests aged seven and over, subject to operating conditions and safety requirements. Babysitting is available on request at an additional charge; ask us to check care arrangements for younger children.
The Reef Pool and associated Reef Wing benefits are reserved for guests staying in that wing. Guests must be at least 16 to stay in Reef Wing rooms, suites and bures.
Breakfast is included in our standard contracted stays within the stated guest allowance. Half Board, Full Board and beverage packages depend on the offer you book. Dining plans use meal allocations and have exclusions, with excess spending and some special menus charged separately.
