A small island with a wonderfully personal welcome
Five sandy acres, oceanfront bures and the feeling that the whole island is within easy reach.
Toberua is a quieter corner of Fiji, off the eastern coast of Viti Levu. Its appeal is easy to picture: a shaded deck overlooking the water, an unhurried lunch, then an afternoon spent snorkelling, sailing or doing very little at all.
Toberua describes an intimate collection of 16 oceanfront bures, with the three-bedroom Lagilagi Villa among its accommodation choices. Couples, friends and families can settle into a shared island rhythm without the bustle of a large resort.

Barefoot days, from one shore to the other
Here, the beach, dining room, pool and marina are all part of a compact island setting. Traditional thatched buildings and natural timber interiors keep the atmosphere distinctly Fijian, while ocean-facing outdoor spaces make the view part of everyday life.
Toberua suits travellers who enjoy getting to know a place and its people. You can join in a game, take an excursion or retreat to your bure. Families should choose the bedding configuration carefully; couples can focus on the outlook, privacy and extra space they would enjoy most.
Your bure beside the water
Toberua’s accommodation uses open-plan spaces, high ceilings and ceiling fans, with indoor/outdoor bathrooms. The rooms are fan-cooled and do not have air-conditioning. Choose the layout and sleeping arrangement that best fit your party, and enjoy the shared resort pool.
Tropical Bure
A straightforward island choice with the shoreline close by and room for up to four guests. Its traditional design and oceanfront setting make it an appealing base for families or couples who plan to spend much of the day outdoors.
Deluxe Bure
Open-plan accommodation with a shaded deck, swing seating and ocean views. These bures can accommodate up to five guests, with the exact combination of beds confirmed for your booking.
Premium Bure
Handcrafted natural materials, high beams and an ocean-facing deck create an inviting place to linger. Premium Bures accommodate up to five guests, subject to the appropriate bedding arrangement.
More space together in the Lagilagi Villa
Travelling with extended family or friends? The three-bedroom Lagilagi Villa combines a shared living area with three bathrooms and room for up to ten guests, including a maximum of six adults. It is worth comparing with separate bures if privacy and different sleep schedules matter.

Fresh island flavours, with time to linger
Changing menus draw on local seafood, fruit and vegetables, with Fijian and international influences. The oceanfront setting makes lunch and dinner part of the pleasure of being here.
Full-board and half-board meal plans are available. The full plan includes breakfast, a two-course lunch and a three-course dinner; half board pairs breakfast with dinner. A children’s menu is available, and dietary needs should be discussed before booking. Ask us to include the right plan in your quote rather than assuming every room offer includes all meals.
A little time set aside for you
The spa bure offers massage and beauty treatments using Pure Fiji products. Book a treatment for a quiet afternoon, then return to the shade of your terrace or the saltwater resort pool.
Spa services are charged separately unless specifically included in your package. Let us know if you are planning a honeymoon or celebration so we can check suitable extras for your dates.
Explore the reef at your own pace
Snorkelling equipment, kayaks, paddleboards and a Hobie Cat are among the resort’s complimentary activities. Follow the team’s advice on tides, weather and suitable entry points. Guided night snorkelling, fishing and scuba diving are additional options, with charges and conditions to confirm.
Golf when the tide goes out
The resort’s nine-hole reef golf course is an unusual island experience, played when the tide allows. There is also path-putting, volleyball and games around the island. Children’s activities can be arranged, and babysitting is available at an additional charge. There is no kids club.

Arrive through Suva, then take the short island hop
Toberua lies in the Lomaiviti group, east of Viti Levu. Suva’s Nausori Airport is the usual gateway. From there, the resort arranges a road transfer to the jetty followed by a short boat journey; allow roughly 40 minutes in total, depending on conditions.
If you arrive internationally at Nadi, a domestic connection to Suva is generally the most direct onward option. A road journey across Viti Levu is also possible but is a much longer transfer. We will compare the practical choices against your flight schedule.
Give the resort your arrival information in advance and let Forever Fiji arrange the full journey. Transfers are additional unless included in your confirmed package. Boat access, tidal conditions and any mobility assistance should be discussed before you commit.
