Gardenview and Oceanfront One-Bedroom Bures
Choose a tropical garden outlook or views across Savusavu Bay. Both offer a king bed, single day bed and outdoor deck. These categories accommodate up to four guests when the additional bed is arranged, subject to the confirmed room configuration.
Oceanfront Two-Bedroom Bure
A separate second bedroom gives families more flexibility, while the deck provides a shared space to relax outdoors. The main bedroom has a king bed and day bed; second-bedroom bedding and any extra bed are confirmed when booking. Maximum occupancy is six, including infants.
Deluxe Oceanfront Two-Bedroom Bure
Two bedrooms with their own ensuite bathrooms make this a useful option for families or friends. The second bedroom has a separate entrance as well as an internal connection. A spacious deck opens towards the bay. Maximum occupancy is six with the required bedding arranged.
Oceanfront Point Reef Bures
The Point Reef categories have a split-level layout with separate sleeping and living areas. The Oceanfront Point Reef Spa Tub Bure adds a private outdoor spa tub. Both accommodate up to five with an extra bed; let us know if internal steps or an open-plan sleeping arrangement would affect your choice.
Signature Oceanfront Two-Bedroom Bure
An extended deck and two ensuite bedrooms offer more room for a larger family. The published layout includes a king bed and day bed in one bedroom and two queen beds in the other. Ask us to confirm availability and the approved occupancy for your travel dates.
Premium Oceanfront Two-Bedroom Villa
A secluded villa with its own infinity-edge pool, spa tub and generous indoor-outdoor living spaces. Sleeping arrangements differ from a conventional two-bedroom house, with day beds in the second space. Ask us to confirm the layout and any requirements for children before booking.
A holiday full of little discoveries
Nannies, buddies and Bula Club
The complimentary Bula Club runs daily from 8.30am to 9pm. Children aged 0–5 have nanny care, with two nannies allocated per bure at different scheduled times. Ages 6–12 join a Fijian buddy programme in small groups. Care arrangements and individual schedules are confirmed with the resort.
Learning through play
Nature and Fijian culture give the programme its character. Depending on the day’s schedule and children’s ages, activities may include weaving, garden discoveries, marine learning and supervised outdoor play. The Bula Club area includes children’s swimming facilities, water slides and a treehouse play area.
Room for teens and family time
Teenagers aged 13–17 have their own group activities, with options such as sailing, hikes and cultural experiences. Families can dine together, and children can also have meals at Bula Club. Later private babysitting costs extra and needs advance arrangement. Please share care needs, food allergies and requests for cots or highchairs before travel.

Make time for yourselves
A beachfront spa treatment, a leisurely dinner or an afternoon on your deck can sit comfortably alongside a more active holiday.
The Serenity Pool is generally reserved for adults and guests aged 13 and over, with a scheduled family session on Sundays.
For an extra-special occasion, ask about a private dinner or the Naviavia Private Island experience, reached by a short boat ride from the resort. These are optional, separately charged experiences and should be arranged ahead.

Our standard resort arrangements include accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner, selected non-alcoholic drinks, afternoon tea, Wi-Fi, daily wash-and-fold laundry and return road transfers from Savusavu Airport.
There is also a broad programme of included experiences: scheduled boat snorkelling with equipment, selected non-motorised watersports, cultural activities, yoga, evening entertainment and selected off-site excursions. Bula Club and the age-based family programmes are included within their scheduled arrangements.
Alcohol, scuba diving and dive equipment, spa treatments, private dining and selected excursions are additional unless specifically included in your package. Drinks, activities and bonuses can vary by travel dates and offer. Your quote will set out the exact inclusions.
Fresh flavours, with meals included
South Pacific and Asian influences feature alongside local ingredients and produce from the resort garden. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in standard stays, with adult and children’s menus and relaxed restaurant or poolside settings.
Families have dedicated dining areas, while children can join Bula Club for selected meals. A simple in-bure tray service is available; special picnics and personalised private dinners carry additional charges. Tell us about dietary requirements early so the resort can confirm suitable arrangements.
Drinks and special occasions
Selected soft drinks, tea and espresso coffee are included. Alcohol is charged separately, and premium drinks or special dining arrangements should be checked against your chosen package.
Get to know life beneath the surface
Guided snorkelling and marine presentations introduce the reefs around Savusavu Bay. The resort’s resident marine biologists and activities team help guests understand what they see, from colourful reef fish to the smaller creatures living among the corals.
L’Aventure Jean-Michel Cousteau Diving offers separately charged scuba experiences and PADI courses. Ask about suitable local dive sites and trips towards Namena Marine Reserve. Sites and departures depend on conditions, experience and the operator’s requirements; wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
Swimming and the shoreline
The beach has areas of soft coral, so it is important to follow the resort’s advice on ocean entry. Swimming from the pier is recommended by the resort. Snorkelling, swimming and boat outings depend on weather, tides and individual ability.

Selected scheduled outings can introduce you to village life, the farmers market or the rainforest. Around the resort, Fijian storytelling, weaving and music offer opportunities to connect with local traditions. Optional outings such as pearl-farm visits, chocolate experiences and Salt Lake kayaking are charged separately.
Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort describes water conservation, composting, recycling and its organic garden as part of its environmental programme. Guided reef learning, mangrove planting and coral-restoration activities let guests find out more about local conservation work when available. Participation varies with the programme and conditions.
Fly on to Fiji’s northern island
Travel from New Zealand to Nadi, then connect with a domestic flight to Savusavu on Vanua Levu. The Nadi–Savusavu flight takes around an hour, followed by an approximately 20-minute road transfer to Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort. Return Savusavu Airport transfers are included in standard resort stays.
Labasa is another arrival option, with an approximately 90-minute road journey to the resort at an additional cost. A boat transfer is not needed for the usual airport arrival. International and domestic flights are only included when expressly shown in your quote.
We’ll check connections, baggage allowances and any overnight stop needed for your dates. Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is 11am; early arrival and late departure arrangements need confirmation.
