There’s so much more to do
The island of Vanua Levu is one to truly discover, and the Savusavu region is a must to explore.
Enjoy excursions to beautiful waterfalls and rainforests, the lovely village of Nukubalavu for an afternoon of authentic Fijian culture, take an adventure in the mangroves, or visit the farmers markets and primary school.
Visit J. Hunter pearls and see where gem quality pearls come from, or be amazed by the beauty of the Flora
Private Island Picnics
Beachside massages and morning Yoga
The highlight of any trip is a picnic on Naviavia Island. Take a specially prepared picnic and spend the day on the powdery white sand and beautifully soothing ocean. Take a stand up paddle board or kayak with you and float in the calm waters or snorkel across the surrounding reefs.
On your return why not experience a South Pacific massage treatment in the privacy of one of the resorts’ beach side treatment bures. Relax to the gentle rippling ocean as you indulge in a soothing and restorative spa treatment. Or maybe try some Fiji Yoga – every morning join the small class session as the sun rises, or perhaps arrange a private session with one of the resort’s yoga instructors.
The famous Jean-Michel Cousteau Bula Club
Jean-Michel Cousteau is renowned for its kids facilities.
Included in your stay is Fiji’s most awarded Bula Club. Featuring fun, exploration and educational games, the Bula Club is founded on the mantra of expanding children’s horizons whilst helping them better understand and appreciate the world around them.
Importantly children learn how to conserve and protect our precious environment for themselves and future generations.
Suitable for kids and teenagers
They can join in a wide-ranging program of fun and stimulating activities every day and also learn about Fijian culture.
Teenagers too are not forgotten and the teenage program at Jean Michel-Cousteau will keep even the most difficult teenager happy and entertained.
With Nannies included for each child under 5 and a buddy system for older children parents are able to indulge in a little “me time” knowing that their children are happy and well protected.
Dining
Dining at Jean-Michel Cousteau is a treat.
At every meal tables are set in the resorts’ dining area right on the edge of Savusavu Bay. Each table placed so the view can be seen, and families and couples positioned so that neither impact the other. With everyone at ease, with the flickering lights from the poolside lanterns in the evening and views to the ocean and pier, it is time to enjoy the culinary delights of Chef Raymond Lee.
Chef Raymond creates meals that are sourced locally and seasonally with many of the herbs, edible flowers, fruits and vegetables coming directly from his own organic garden. Other ingredients are sourced, wherever possible from across Fiji.
Dining at the Bula Club
The Resort’s younger guests, who are busy at Bula Club do have the option to enjoy lunch or dinner at the dining area of the Bula Club where specially prepared dishes can be served with the same focus on fresh and wholesome ingredients.
Parents can then dine later in the main restaurant and the children can continue to enjoy the fun of evening activities at Bula Club.
