Why stay at Waya?

Mountains behind you, the Yasawas in front

Waya’s landscape is a large part of the experience. Rugged green ridges rise behind the resort and the coast opens onto clear island waters. It gives a simple beach day a striking sense of place.

The resort welcomes guests aged 18 and over. Its small scale lends itself to a relaxed stay, where the restaurant, pool and gardens feel connected. There is room for sociable evenings and quiet time together, without having to choose a busy activity schedule.

Accommodation

Garden calm or an oceanfront outlook

Every bure and villa accommodates two adults. Air-conditioning, ceiling fans, an outdoor sitting area and indoor/outdoor showers are part of the experience. Twin arrangements are available on request in most categories, subject to confirmation.

The resort currently specifies a four-night minimum for this category, compared with two nights for the other room types. We will confirm the rules and inclusions for your particular dates.

Dining

Island-grown ingredients, all meals taken care of

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and the resort’s pizza offering are included in the room rate. The kitchen focuses on fresh local produce, seafood and relaxed, home-style cooking, with changing menus that bring variety to a longer stay.

Expect cooked-to-order breakfasts, an à la carte lunch and a three-course dinner. Tastes of Fiji adds a cultural evening to the weekly programme. Drinks from the poolside bar are purchased separately; Deluxe Grand Villas include a limited in-room beverage selection.

Your meal plan begins on arrival and finishes with breakfast on departure day; a later departure lunch may be extra. Share dietary needs and allergies before booking. Private beach, poolside or sunset-bure dining can be requested, with availability and any additional charge confirmed.

Time to unwind

Unwind between the palms

Waya Indulgence Day Spa is a peaceful setting for a massage, with birdsong, ocean sounds and tropical greenery around you. Treatments are an additional pleasure to build into your stay.

The shared resort pool is another natural gathering place, with loungers and umbrellas for long afternoons. Book a villa with its own plunge pool if you would prefer that extra layer of privacy.

Beyond the beach

Discover Waya with a local guide

Guided hikes reveal the island’s dramatic ridgelines. Village visits and cultural experiences offer a different perspective, while weaving and kava activities bring local traditions into the resort programme. Choose a walk that suits your fitness, and follow local guidance on dress and visiting etiquette.

The clear-water days

Paddle, snorkel and explore

Kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and snorkelling are part of island life. The resort provides snorkel equipment and reef shoes, and offers guided reef trips and fishing excursions. Seasonal manta-ray trips may be available, but sightings and departures cannot be guaranteed. Weather, tides and additional charges should be checked locally.

Getting there from New Zealand

Into the southern Yasawas from Nadi

Fly from New Zealand to Nadi, then continue to Port Denarau for the island transfer. The resort describes a scheduled sea journey of around two hours, with the exact service and connection checked for your travel dates.

A scenic helicopter transfer from Nadi is another option, generally around 20 minutes in the air. Air services depend on weather, daylight, availability and baggage limits. We will compare the complete journey rather than just the flight time.

Tell us about your international flight plans before booking the resort. If the connections do not align, an overnight mainland stay may make the journey more comfortable. There is no conventional mobile coverage at the resort; Wi-Fi supports messaging and internet calls.
