Why stay at VOMO Island Resort?

A private-island holiday with room for everyone

At the northern edge of the Mamanuca Islands, VOMO Island Resort offers space to enjoy Fiji at your own pace.

Long beaches, tropical gardens and the slopes of Mount Vomo give the island its character. You can join the changing activity programme, arrange something special on the water or spend a day between your villa, the beach and a good book.

Meals and selected non-alcoholic drinks are included in standard stays. That makes it easy to enjoy the restaurants together, with plenty of choice for adults and younger guests. Forever Fiji can help you find the right accommodation and plan a smooth journey from New Zealand.

Beach time together, a little adventure and quiet moments of your own.
Accommodation

Find your own corner of the island

Choose a hillside setting, a villa close to the sand or a private-pool residence for a larger gathering. Air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and daily wash-and-fold laundry are included. The right layout matters, so tell us everyone’s ages and preferred bedding.

Hillside Villas

Open-plan villas with a king bed that can split into singles, a single lounge bed and an outdoor deck. Higher villas have water views; lower villas look into the gardens. A location request cannot be guaranteed. These elevated villas have steps, so ask us to check suitability for young children or anyone with mobility needs.

Beachfront Villas & Havens

Beachfront Villas open onto a deck and lawn beside the sand. Selected pairs can interconnect when both villas are booked and confirmed together. Beachfront Havens offer similar interiors in freestanding buildings. These categories can accommodate two adults and up to two children, or three adults, with additional-person charges.

Beachfront Family Retreats

A larger outdoor living and bathing area makes these open-plan retreats an option for families wanting to share one villa. Up to two adults and three children can stay with the appropriate extra bedding and charges. The bedroom and lounge areas are separated by a privacy curtain rather than a separate bedroom door.

Two Bedroom Family Villas

Two bedrooms, a kitchenette, indoor and outdoor bathing areas and a private plunge pool provide more room to spread out. These villas are on Mamanuca Beach, closer to the Kids Village. A king bedroom and a second bedroom with two single beds can suit two adults and up to three children with one additional rollaway or cot, subject to confirmation.

Two Bedroom Rocks Villas

Located near The Rocks, these two-bedroom pool villas have a king bed and two single beds, a kitchenette and outdoor bathing space. They can also suit two couples when the bedding and occupancy are confirmed. Staying nearby does not change The Rocks’ minimum age of 16. The main plunge pool is fenced, but its adjoining shallow paddle pool is unfenced; children need close supervision.

Thoughtful room choices

A layout that works for your holiday

Hillside Villas, Beachfront Villas, Beachfront Havens and Beachfront Family Retreats have no private swimming pool.

Choose a Two Bedroom Family Villa, Two Bedroom Rocks Villa or a private residence if a personal pool is important to you.

Hillside Villas suit up to two adults and one child on existing bedding, or three adults. Additional infant, cot and bedding requests need individual confirmation. Children and infants attract accommodation charges, which include the applicable meal and activity arrangements.

Room photographs illustrate the named setting; layouts, outlooks and furnishings may vary. We’ll confirm the exact category and occupancy before you book.

Private residences

Bring your favourite people

Three-bedroom residences include The Royal, The BeacHouse and Totoka.

Outdoor living spaces at The BeacHouse residence at VOMO Island Resort

Four-bedroom choices are The Residence, The Palms and Taleitaki, while The Reef House offers five bedrooms.

These individual homes combine private pools, shared living areas and butler service with access to the resort’s dining and activities. They are a lovely option for multigenerational families or friends travelling together.

Bedrooms, connecting paths and pool fencing differ between residences. We’ll compare floor plans, included occupancy and additional-guest arrangements for your group. Private chef dinners and special in-residence events cost extra unless expressly included in your confirmed package.

Little island adventures, with time for you

Kids Village

Creative play, Fijian-inspired activities and outdoor adventures give children plenty to enjoy. The age-based programmes include Little Islanders, Yungstars and Club V. Children aged four and over can join the supervised club without a parent; children under four need a parent, guardian or Baby Butler with them.

Children can dine with their family or join the Kids Village dining programme. Activities, session times and participation requirements are confirmed for your stay.

Baby Butler care

Families with infants aged three and under receive up to four hours of Baby Butler care per family each day, for up to two infants at a time, subject to the children’s ages and the resort’s arrangements. Reserve care in advance. Hours cannot be carried over; additional care, extra sitters and babysitting for older children are charged.

For couples and adults

Settle into The Rocks

The Rocks is a dedicated retreat for guests aged 16 and over, with an ocean-facing pool, shaded cabanas, a bar and restaurant.

Come for a relaxed lunch, linger by the water or enjoy the sunset across Vomo Lailai.

VOMO Island Resort welcomes families throughout the year, so couples can enjoy the wider island as well as this quieter adults-only space. Restaurant services and opening times vary seasonally.

For another indulgence, Kui Spa offers massage and body treatments, with in-villa arrangements available on request. Spa treatments are additional unless your booked offer specifically includes them.

Dining

Good food is part of the holiday

Vuda Bar and Restaurant is the main gathering place for family meals. At The Rocks, guests aged 16 and over can enjoy a more secluded dining setting with an Asia-Pacific influence and an ocean outlook.

Standard stays include breakfast, lunch and dinner at designated restaurants, plus selected non-alcoholic drinks from the minibar, restaurants and bars. Alcoholic beverages, premium or private dining experiences and additional arrival or departure meals may attract charges.

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free choices are available. Tell us about dietary requirements before booking so the resort can confirm suitable arrangements; an allergy-free environment cannot be guaranteed.

Activities and experiences

From the reef to the hilltop

Included activities range from scheduled guided snorkelling and non-motorised watersports to tennis, the nine-hole chip-and-putt course, gym access, yoga and group fitness sessions. The weekly cultural programme brings Fijian performance and a kava ceremony to the island.

Scuba diving, fishing, private snorkelling trips, island excursions and a private picnic on Vomo Lailai can be arranged at an additional cost. Ask early about any experience that matters most to you.

Water activities and excursions depend on conditions, availability and individual suitability. Book scheduled activities ahead and follow the resort team’s guidance.

Getting there from New Zealand

A memorable arrival by sea or air

Fly to Nadi, then continue by road to Vuda Point Marina and a pre-arranged speedboat to VOMO Island Resort. Allow approximately 20 minutes for the road transfer and 35–40 minutes for the boat journey, with timing dependent on conditions.

A helicopter journey from Nadi takes about 15 minutes and operates in daylight. Scheduled South Sea Cruises services from Port Denarau offer another option, connecting with the resort’s smaller transfer boat. We’ll check the timetable against your international flights.

Transfers are additional unless specified in your package. Baggage limits, minimum passenger charges and fuel surcharges may apply. Weather or flight timing can affect connections and may require a mainland overnight stay.

Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 11am. Early access and late departure arrangements are subject to availability and may cost extra.

Planning your stay

Let us check the details that matter

Tell us about mobility requirements, steps, bathing needs, pool safety or assistance with transfers. Hillside paths, villa decks and boat boarding can require particular consideration. We will confirm specific accommodation and transfer arrangements with the resort rather than assume an accessible route.

Minimum stays, deposits and cancellation conditions vary by dates and accommodation. Your quote will set out the terms for your chosen holiday, including any extra-person, transfer or optional-experience charges.
