Beachfront Bure patio overlooking the lawn and lagoon at Plantation Island Resort

Beachfront Bure

A spacious island-style choice close to the shore, with a patio and lagoon outlook. It is a lovely way to keep the beach at the centre of your holiday. Bedding and maximum occupancy will be checked for your party.

Poolside Room

A handy choice for families who expect to spend plenty of time swimming. Located near the Ocean Pool, these rooms make it easy to move between your room and the pool area.

Studio Garden Bure

Open-plan accommodation in a garden setting, with a queen bed and two single-sized sofa beds. Tell us the adults and children’s ages so we can confirm whether the layout and any extra bedding work for you.

Two Bedroom Garden Bure

Two separate bedrooms offer extra flexibility for larger families or friends. These bures can accommodate up to six people, subject to the approved bedding arrangement and applicable extra-person charges.

Make the room work for your family

Under current contracted arrangements, up to two children aged 0–11 can stay free with parents using existing bedding, within room limits. An additional infant under two may stay in a cot in eligible categories; Beachfront Hotel Rooms have the stricter configuration described above. Extra beds, older children and additional adults may attract charges.

Standard Wi-Fi is complimentary in public areas. In-room or higher-speed access may cost extra unless included in your confirmed offer or eligible loyalty benefits.

Dining

Keep family meals easy

Enjoy beachside buffet dining at Copra, lagoon-view meals at Tavola and dinner at Black Coral Grill.

Casual outlets add coffee, snacks and sweet treats through the day. Restaurant operations, menus and locations can vary during the resort’s development programme.

Breakfast-only, Half Board and Full Board plans are available. Half Board covers buffet breakfast at Copra and eligible dinner choices; Full Board adds eligible lunch choices. The plans do not cover every menu item or outlet, and selected dishes at Black Coral carry a surcharge. Tavola breakfast is outside the current contracted meal plans.

Meals are included only where your booking or package says so. Drinks and extras are charged separately unless specifically included. Christmas and New Year’s Eve buffet supplements apply to meal-plan guests, including qualifying children.

Understanding the kids’ meal benefit

Children aged 0–11 can receive eligible kids-menu meals when dining with the required paying adults, or use the designated children’s dinner buffet. This does not mean every snack, drink or outlet is free. We will confirm the adult-dining conditions and eligible outlets for your booking, particularly for single-parent families.

Meal plans generally apply for the full consecutive stay and are non-refundable once purchased. From April 2027, the contract specifies the same meal-plan purchase for all adults in a room. Guests aged 12 and over are charged at adult meal-plan rates. Tell us about allergies and dietary needs in advance so arrangements can be checked with the resort.

Families

Little adventures, new friends

Coconut Kids Club welcomes children aged 4–12 with a changing programme of crafts, games and Fijian cultural activities.

Standard participation is complimentary for resort guests; some special activities cost extra. Check the current session schedule when you arrive.

Lairo Club provides activities for ages 12–16. For children under four, a parent, guardian or booked babysitter needs to accompany participation where permitted. The crèche for under-fives also requires supervision.

Private nanny and babysitting services are separate, paid arrangements, subject to availability. Book ahead and discuss your child’s needs directly with the team. Kids club is not a promise of round-the-clock childcare.

Play together

Make a splash

Enjoy the resort’s pools, standard kayaks, beach volleyball, tennis and cultural demonstrations. The inflatable water park is complimentary for children aged 5–16, subject to conditions and the resort’s safety rules.

Life jackets are required at the inflatable park and supplied by the resort. Adults are encouraged to supervise younger participants from the water. Weather, tides, swimming ability and staff guidance should shape your plans.

Try something new

Explore beyond the beach

Optional activities include snorkelling trips, diving, fishing, golf, bicycle hire and the separate Jungle Water Park. These cost extra unless expressly included in your selected package.

Excursions depend on conditions, operator schedules and any minimum numbers. Age, ability and safety requirements vary. Ask us about the experiences you have in mind so we can help plan a suitable mix.

A little time for you

Find your own island pause

While the family enjoys the day’s programme, you might prefer a massage at Senibua Spa, a quiet walk or time beside the water.

Spa and beauty treatments are optional extras and should be arranged ahead when possible.

Getting there

An island holiday from New Zealand

Fly to Nadi, then travel to Port Denarau Marina for the Malolo Cat service to Malolo Lailai. Allow around 30 minutes by road from the airport and approximately 50–60 minutes on the ferry, plus check-in and connection time.

We will coordinate the journey against your flights and the current sailing schedule. Selected Malolo Cat fares include scheduled Nadi airport or hotel coach connections when booked in advance; private ground transport may be extra. Fuel surcharges and special-baggage charges may apply.

Children’s transfer conditions

The current kids-transfer offer applies to children aged 0–11 travelling with a parent or guardian on eligible Malolo Cat services. It excludes the 8am departure from Denarau and the 3.45pm departure from Plantation. We will confirm the services and benefit for your travel dates rather than assume all sailings are free for children.

Plan before you book flights

Flight delays, weather and sailing times can affect connections. A mainland overnight, private water taxi or air charter may be needed when scheduled services do not fit, with separate costs and conditions. Please tell us about surfboards, oversized luggage or access needs before transfers are booked.

Mobility and access

Some routes have paved paths, but boat boarding, sand, steps and split-level rooms can present barriers. Ground-floor placement does not guarantee step-free access. We will check the room, bathroom and transfer requirements with the resort for your specific needs.
