Malolo Island Resort Fiji is unique for everything it does to make you feel reconnected with family and friends.
Malolo is about family – 100% Fijian family owned, the aim of this gem of a resort is to give you the chance to disconnect from outside, and reconnect with each other. Designed to connect with Fiji’s colonial past, your South Pacific Beachside cottage will entice you with its charm. The sounds of the coconut trees, and the lapping of the ocean onto the shore can be heard in between singing Fijian voices, and giggling children.
Perfect for families and couples alike, Malolo will charm you and you will see that Malolo is the way the world should be.
Malolo has just 46 bures – ensuring a small resort experience
The 10 Island Bures are set just a little bit back from the beach. Gardens surround these lovely bures and the birds in the trees behind them are a delight to hear.
The 18 Oceanview Bures have just that – a lovely Ocean View and will accommodate a family of four comfortably.
Deluxe Oceanview Bures – of which there are 12 have a little more space – with a closing door between family space, and children’s sleeping area, and parents bedroom. These bures will fit a third child.
The Family Bures are perfect for larger groups
Reconnect with family and friends.
If you are a family, or group choose one of the four family bures that will sleep up to 7 people.
Scattered around the resort, these bures are very popular with their multiple bedrooms and extra space. None of the bures at Malolo feature phones, TV, radio or internet. You will not be tempted to read your email or catch up on the daily goings-on of others. Reconnect instead.
Honeymoons and Adults Only Experiences
Relax, recharge and celebrate in style.
Celebrating a honeymoon or want an adults-only experience?
Malolo’s unique Tadra bures are located at the far end of the resort – away from the bustle of families and provide a beautiful haven to get away from it all.
Often booked by grandparents travelling with a young family, or of course honeymooners, these two bures are close to the beachfront and offer spectacular sunset views from your generous sized deck.
Order a bottle of champagne for sunset delivery and you will be in the best place on earth.

The kids will even have their own chance to explore Mociu Island themselves on their very own adventure to a deserted island.
Older kids are not forgotten and can use the Khail’s Club lounge – reserved for kids aged 13-18. This is their haven away from the little ones, and the adults. With ping pong, games, bean bags and television, and of course free wifi teenagers will be happy lounging around here.

Family and Adults-Only Dining Options
The resort’s philosophy is to utilise local produce.
Dining at Malolo can be enjoyed at the Beach Bar, at the Terrace Restaurant of adults-only Treetops for dinner. The resort philosophy is about utilising as much local and healthy produce as possible – even for the kids meals. It’s not nuggets and chips at Malolo. Everything is preservative free and hand made with the kitchen baking their own breads and pizza bases as well as fish fingers and hamburger patties.
The Terrace Restaurant is the main hub of meal time, but light snacks and lunches and dinners are served at the Beach Bar. For a truly special treat dinner at the Adults only Treetops is just magnificent and is recommended for adults dining without children or young adults who are welcome with their families if they are 16 and older.
What we love about Malolo
You really can “log off” at Malolo. This little resort is another that welcomes returnees year after year, and is often booked well ahead of time. Why? Because Malolo does allow you to reconnect. Malolo is small enough to be like a gathering of extended families, where you will meet others, where your children will make new friends, where you might just as likely plan to return next year with new friends. Malolo has captured the family market with their wonderful kids club facilities and programmes, and the adult market with their dedicated adults only pool, decking area and restaurant. Set on a lovely beach, with modern decor in all bures, Malolo is a perfect holiday destination.
