The setting is the draw: a long stretch of sand, clear water and the hills of Nacula rising behind the resort.
There is an easy balance between time together and doing your own thing. Children can join the kids club, divers can head out with the dive team and couples can find a quiet spot by the water. At mealtimes, choose the sociable atmosphere of the main restaurant or plan an evening at Donu.
The resort’s connection with nearby Nacula Village adds another dimension to a stay. Join an organised visit to learn about local life, or enjoy the resort’s changing programme of music and cultural activities.
Find your place in the gardens or beside the beach
Blue Lagoon offers a broad range of accommodation. The villa categories have private bathrooms and air-conditioning, while the simpler lodge and hostel options have different facilities. Tell us who is travelling and we will match the space, bedding and location to your needs.
Garden and Lagoon Villas
Garden Villas offer an easy base among tropical greenery, close to the beach. Deluxe One Bedroom Garden Villas and Lagoon Villas add further choices around the resort’s garden and lagoon areas. Open-air bathrooms are part of the character of selected villa categories.
Beachfront Villas
Choose a Beachfront Villa for a front-row beach setting and an ocean outlook. Deluxe Beachfront Villas offer another beachfront option, with family-friendly layouts available. We will confirm the exact bedding and room location rather than assuming every beachfront category is the same.
Family accommodation
Compare Two Bedroom Garden Villas, the Two Bedroom Family Suite and the larger Palms Villa. These are useful starting points for a family or a group needing more space. The best choice depends on the ages in your party, sleeping arrangements and whether you prefer a garden or beachfront setting.
Space, bedding and age policies matter
Room capacities, child age bands and additional-person charges vary by category and travel date. Please share every traveller’s age when you enquire so we can confirm the right fit, including cots or extra beds where available.
Bula Lodge and Charlie’s hostel accommodation are simpler alternatives with shared bathroom facilities. The current wholesale arrangements restrict these lead-in categories to guests aged 18 and over. We will confirm eligibility and facilities before quoting them.
Island days for children, with time for parents too
Tumba Kids Club is complimentary for children aged 3–12, with a changing mix of creative play, outdoor activities and evening fun. Younger children need a parent or a booked babysitter with them; check supervision arrangements with the team for your child’s age.
Supervised children’s dinners are offered as part of the programme. Daily hours and activities can change, so we will help you check the current arrangements for your stay.
Plan the little things before you arrive
Mei Mei Mama babysitting can be arranged, subject to availability. Some room categories or packages may include an allowance, but it is not universal. We will confirm any included hours and additional charges in your quote.
Cots and other baby equipment can be requested in advance. Families should supervise children around the beach and pools, and check the suitability of excursions and water activities before booking.
Two restaurants, with meals planned into your stay
The Reef Restaurant sits by the ocean and brings together breakfast, relaxed lunches and changing dinners.
Communal tables make it easy to meet other guests, while smaller tables are available when you prefer your own space.
Donu, in the Lagoon area, offers small plates at lunch and a Japanese-inspired tasting menu in the evening. Seating is limited and dinner reservations are recommended.
A compulsory daily meal plan
Blue Lagoon’s meal plan must be booked with your accommodation for each guest and each night. It covers breakfast, lunch and dinner under the applicable plan, with both the main restaurant and Donu included. Meal arrangements follow the resort’s arrival and departure meal cycle.
Drinks, extra snacks, additional dishes and private dining are not automatically included. Filtered drinking water is available at designated stations. This is a full-board meal arrangement, rather than an unlimited food-and-drink package.
Tell us about dietary requirements before booking, particularly if you would like to dine at Donu, where the evening menu is seafood-focused. Children’s meal ages and inclusions will be confirmed for your dates, rather than assuming a general kids-eat-free policy.
Make time for the water, and time to slow down
Snorkelling from the beach is one of Blue Lagoon’s pleasures.
Kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkelling equipment are included in current standard stay arrangements, subject to availability and suitable conditions.
For a quieter afternoon, choose a lounger by one of the two resort pools or ask about a spa treatment. Spa services are separately charged unless your confirmed package includes them.
Caves, village visits and island views
An excursion to the limestone caves at Sawa-i-Lau is a memorable way to explore farther afield. Ask about guided snorkelling trips, fishing, a village visit or a walk into the hills of Nacula for a different view of the islands.
These experiences may carry extra charges and depend on local access, weather, sea conditions and minimum numbers. Caves and boat excursions are not suitable for everyone; discuss swimming ability, mobility and children’s ages before choosing an activity.
Something different to try each day
The resort’s dive centre offers diving and training options, with age, fitness and certification requirements depending on the activity. Courses and dives cost extra unless a specific, confirmed offer includes them.
Back at the resort, the evening programme may include music, Fijian dancing, kava, quizzes or a movie. Schedules vary, and wildlife encounters cannot be guaranteed on reef activities or excursions.
Sawa-i-Lau is a separately arranged excursion from the resort, subject to conditions and availability.
The journey north through the Yasawa Islands
Fly from New Zealand into Nadi International Airport, then continue to Nacula Island by resort boat, scheduled ferry or helicopter. We can plan the connections and any mainland accommodation around your flights.
Resort boat from Naisoso Marina
The resort’s fast-boat services depart from Naisoso Marina, close to Nadi Airport. A direct journey is approximately two hours in suitable conditions; connecting services take longer and may involve a stop and vessel change at Paradise Cove. Services and departure times can change.
Yasawa Flyer from Port Denarau
The scheduled catamaran makes a scenic journey through the island chain, stopping along the way. Allow around four to five hours for the sailing to Blue Lagoon, plus road transfers, check-in and boarding. This is a different departure point from the resort’s fast boat.
Helicopter
Helicopter transfers from Nadi take approximately 30 minutes flying time. Per-seat services depend on the operator’s schedule and may have additional stops; a fixed departure time may require a charter. Baggage, passenger and weather restrictions apply.
We will confirm the service, mainland pick-up arrangements, fuel surcharges and baggage limits before booking. International delays and weather can affect connections, and an overnight mainland stay may be required. Transfers are included only where stated in your quote.
